You're at the Reins. Where Are You Going?

You've done the work.
You've healed from the past. You've worked on yourself. You've gotten clearer about what you don't want. You’ve stayed positive and open to someone new coming into your life. Maybe you’ve put yourself out there.
And yet, here you are, getting the same results. Or worse, no results at all.
Here's what we want you to consider: it might not be that you're doing something wrong. It might be that you haven't told the Universe yet where you're going.
The Vehicle You've Built
Think of all the inner work you've done as building a vehicle. You've cleared out the old baggage. You've upgraded the engine (your energy, your mindset, your boundaries). You've done the maintenance. The vehicle is ready.
But here's the thing about a vehicle: it needs a destination.
If you don't tell it where you want to be, it will either idle in place or default to driving you to old familiar places. The ex. The pattern that takes you nowhere. The dynamic you've already lived a hundred times.
You've built something beautiful. Now it's time to aim it.
Are You Dating the Past or the Future?
This is a question we ask often in our Manifestationship® work, and it's one of the most important questions you can sit with:
Are you trying to recreate something you had? Or are you moving toward something you've never experienced?
Most people, without even realizing it, are dating the past.
They're looking for someone like their ex (but better this time, they promise themselves). They're trying to prove they can finally get that emotionally unavailable person to choose them. They're hoping this time it will be different, even though they're aiming for the exact same destination they have visited in the past.
Here's the truth: if you're aiming for something familiar, you're going to get something familiar.
The Universe doesn't create NEW results from OLD instructions.
Dating the future means getting clear on what you actually want. Not what you don't want. Not what you had before. Not what almost worked. What you WANT. What you've maybe never even experienced, but can now more clearly see.
And here's the exciting part: the moment you get clear, everything shifts.
The Universe Is Waiting for YOUR Signal
Here's what most people get backwards: they think the Universe is supposed to send them a sign first. A magical moment. The perfect person appearing out of nowhere. Proof that it's working.
But that's not how co-creation works.
YOU go first.
You get clear on where you're going. You tell the Universe (through your clarity, your energy, your aligned action) the essence of what you want. And THEN the Universe responds.
It sends you breadcrumbs. Nudges. Little hints to guide you on your path that say, yes, keep going this way.
But here's the catch: you'll only see them if you're looking forward.
If you're still looking backward (at what didn't work, at the people who drained you, at old wounds), you'll miss every single breadcrumb the Universe puts in front of you.
You can't see what's ahead if you're staring in the rearview mirror.
You're at the Reins. So Use Them
This is the part Roger really wants you to hear:
YOU are at the reins here. You have way more power than you realize.
The Universe is your co-pilot, yes. It will respond. It will guide. It will send you exactly what you need.
But it's waiting for YOU to tell it where you want to be. Clearly. Specifically.
Not vaguely. Not "I just want to be happy" or "I want someone nice." Those aren't destinations. Those are wishes.
A destination sounds like this (phrased in the present tense):
I am in a relationship with a partner who is emotionally available and communicates openly.
I am with someone who is curious about life and wants to explore it with me.
I am in a committed partnership where I feel seen, valued, and celebrated for who I actually am.
This is clarity. This is direction. This is a signal the Universe can work with.
And once you send these kinds of signals? Everything changes.
The Universe then says, Oh, they're clear now. They're listening. Let's send them something.
And it does.
But you also have to be paying attention.
The Breadcrumbs Are Already There
Once you're clear and you're looking forward, paying attention, and not forcing change to happen your way, you’ll start noticing things you didn't see before.
A conversation that plants a seed. A person who shows up at exactly the right moment. An opportunity that feels slightly outside your comfort zone, but strangely aligned. A nudge to go somewhere you wouldn't normally go.
These are breadcrumbs.
The Universe doesn't drop your person directly in your lap (though sometimes it does). More often, it guides you step by step. One breadcrumb at a time.
But here's what stops most people: they don't trust the breadcrumbs.
They get a nudge to try something new and then they talk themselves out of it. They meet someone interesting but dismiss them because they're "not their type." They feel pulled toward something unfamiliar and they retreat back to what feels safe.
And safe, in this case, means familiar. Which means the past.
The breadcrumbs are leading you somewhere NEW. That's the whole point.
Which brings us to the most important part.
If It Feels Unfamiliar, You're Going the Right Direction
Here's what Roger wants you to understand:
When the terrain starts to feel unfamiliar or bumpy, that's not necessarily a problem. Most likely it’s PROOF you're finally heading somewhere new, which can be uncomfortable at first. But this is the beginning of change. You have asked for something new, not the past. So, step into it and see where it takes you.
If everything felt smooth and easy and comfortable, you’re most likely going back to the same place you've already been. The past. But your new love lives in the future.
New territory feels different. It might feel uncertain and scary. It might feel vulnerable. It might make you question yourself.
These are not red flags. They are confirmation.
The bumps aren't telling you to turn around. They're telling you you've left familiar ground.
This is where most people give up. They feel the unfamiliarity and they assume they've made a wrong turn. So they retreat. They go back to what feels known, even if what feels known doesn't actually work.
But you're not most people. Not anymore.
You're someone who has done the inner work. Someone who has gotten clear. Someone who is ready to aim that beautiful vehicle you've built toward something you've never experienced.
And that requires trust. And courage. And commitment.
Ego or Spirit? How to Tell the Difference
As you start moving in a new direction, you're going to hear two voices.
The ego voice: This is fear-based. It will tell you to turn around. It will tell you this is too risky, too uncertain, too unfamiliar. It will remind you of every time something didn't work. It will keep you small and keep you safe (which means stuck).
The spirit voice: This is expansion. This is possibility. This is the quiet knowing that says, yes, this way. It doesn't shout. It doesn't panic. It guides. It opens. It reminds you there is unlimited potential ahead.
One keeps you small. The other opens up new doorways and encourages you to grow.
Learning to distinguish between these two voices is one of the most important skills you can develop.
And the way you do that? You practice listening. Through silence.
How to Actually Do This: Practical Tools
This isn't just philosophy. This is practice.
Here are the tools we use and teach:
Morning moments of quiet. Before the day takes over, sit with yourself. Ask a question. What do I need to know today? What am I not seeing? What's the message for me right now? Then sit quietly and listen.
Meditation with intention. Don't just meditate to relax. Set a question or intention before you begin. Show me what I'm missing. Help me see the next step. Then listen.
Pay attention to nudges. When you feel pulled toward something, don't dismiss it. Follow it. Even if it feels small. Especially if it feels unfamiliar. Not with recklessness, but with curiosity.
Check in regularly. Throughout your day, ask yourself: Am I looking forward or backward right now? Am I dating the past or the future? Is this ego talking or spirit?
Reinforce the listening. When you get a nudge and you follow it, acknowledge it. Thank the Universe for responding. This creates a feedback loop. The more you listen and acknowledge, the more the Universe speaks.
This is how you co-create.
You get clear. You look forward. You follow the breadcrumbs. You trust the unfamiliar terrain. You choose spirit over ego.
And the Universe meets you there.
Start With Clarity
If you're reading this and thinking, I'm not even sure what I want, that's okay. That's actually the perfect place to start.
In fact, we created a 30-minute guided meditation designed specifically to help you get clear on what you truly want in love—not what you think you should want. Not what you once settled for. What you ACTUALLY want.
Because once you're clear, everything else starts to move.
A Question to Sit With
Before you go, we want you to ask yourself:
If I knew the Universe was waiting for MY signal, what would I tell it I want?
Not what you don't want. Not what almost worked. What you WANT.
Get specific. Get clear. Write it down if you need to.
And then? Start looking forward.
The breadcrumbs are already there. The Universe is already responding. You just have to be willing to be open, to see, to listen, to follow the nudges.
You're at the reins.
Where are you going?
